General chandlery list . . .

Post by Nick »

.
A client of mine whose site I have recently completed has sent me the following:
. . . we are of course at your and your sailing companions disposal for any general chandlery enquiries.

In the background, we have been trying to expand what we do to include more general chandlery.Tthis is not yet well known on the website as we have not stocked everything...but suffice to say discussions with suppliers have led to us to having good access and rates to a comprehensive range of chandlery. We did this with the intension of being able to not only operate online but also so that we could easily extend into a mobile chandlery.

So basically we want to be able to say to people that if they have a winter (or summer) list of chandlery they need to get - we will do our level best to get an all-round competitive quote to them.
I thought that perhpas we could leave this post up as a sticky for people to add anything on their Winter 'to-do' lists to and see if we can organise a joint purchase to everyone's mutual advantage after people have had a month or so to cogitate and add to the list. It would be a sort of BlueMoment chandlery buying co-operative.

What do you think?

Well I'm currently needing some micro fibres and 25 mm fibre glass tape but, unless the weather stays really cold, I'm really needing them before a month from now.

I'll be in the market for a new anode - MG Duff pear shaped one, and possibly some new anchor chain with maybe a lump to hang at the bottom end . . . .

Haven't decided, but probably either Rocna or Spade.

Ooh, is this thread descending into a chain end lump debate?

for anchor chain, try FPM Henderson in Yoker. http://www.fpmhenderson.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As for which lump to to attach to the ends of the chain of it post the quesiton on ToP

a) which boat should I buy
b) what anchor is best
then sit back........
