It was alright as it was . . . have people lost the ability to tie against a wall or raft up?

Oh beggar, I've always loved the look of PP & now it's going to be destroyed & I've never even managed to get there.

Another lovely old port wiped off my visiting list. :cry:

i wonder if these plans will ever come to fruition. i am sure the battle between the absentee landowner and the portpatrick trust will continue.

Last time I was there, we spoke about pontoons, and heard about the ongoing disputes. However, it was pointed out that the marina would be best sited in the silted up bit on the seaward side, as there's less swell.
That would still leave plenty of room for Nick and the other 'wall-people' to pursue their slimey hobbies.

I understand work has now started with dredging and that it is planned to be open with visitor pontoons by Easter, can anyone confirm this ?
