Fun! I think it'll only be fun watching from the rocks. Sweden, I believe a short cut used by some during a race, not sure where exactly though.

It must be Idiot Central.

Are they Americans?

Doesn't anyone know how to read a chart/ tide table or understand that you can't win a race if you don't finish.

You can embed PB clips too.

Love the way the camera operator appears to wince when the blue hull hits the hard stuff at 36 seconds in and the very quick-thinking MOB pick-up at the end.

I'm sure I have seen that before.

It looks like the sort of place you should be careful to enter with a lot of margin for error and under full control, or maybe not.

I'm pretty sure it was posted in TOP a year or so back, but I haven't been able to find it. I seem to remember some discussion about it being a short cut in a Swedish yacht race.

Thanks, found it. It was Sweden's version of the RTIR, the Tjorn Runt (round Tjorn Island).

Ahh, so they are not Americans . . .

According to Wikipedia:
Tjörn Runt is an annual long distance sailing competition that takes place in Sweden around the island of Tjörn. The race has been held on the third Saturday of August every year since 1964. About 1,000 sailing boats sail the 28 nautical miles (52 km) around Tjörn each year.
With 1000 racing helmsmen there are bound to be one or two whose ambition exceeds their competence.

If you google for "Tjörn Runt" you find a number of videos of maritime mayhem.
