... Marina was generating some VHF traffic at the weekend.
Has anyone had experience of facilities they can share?
I am thinking of visitor pontoons, diesel availability, water & lecky etc. Is the dredged approach obvious?
The website is a bit thin on detail.

I have not personally used the marina but have been up and had a good look about. Thje pontoons are well made.
My friends used it last weekend and says it was good. As it is almost in the country says it was very peaceful soaking up the sun in the cockpit. The electric has now been connected and there is water on pontoons. There is a new portacabin unit at bridge with office, toilets and showers. Diesel is available but do not know at what location. The access is dredged and clearly marked.

Gordon I have spoken to my fiend who has his boat in the marina and says that there is not a fuel berth but the marina will organise deisel in containers. That suggests it is a service which they offer to their berth holders.

Re: Port Bannatyne
We went in last week on the recommendation of a bloke who over winters there.
Pontoons good, you can't tell they are home made.
Showers and loos in a brand new portakabin so they look good for now, but I have no idea how well they will age.
Overall the impression was good but our reservation was the shopping.
The bus service to Rothesay is every ½ hr (£2:40 return), and that's where we went to the CO-OP and got petrol for the outboard, the Post Office in Port Banatyne had bread and milk and a few basics.
A bloke in the pub gave us a menu for a take away from a 3 in one in Rothesay, it could be a good idea for the marina to have a selection of menus that deliver.
Nicer/quieter than Rothesay but you need to be self sufficient.

i thought that was half the attraction of sailing the west coast.
seriously tho` - can`t express my admiration for the guys ( martin & john ) at pt bannatyne highly enough. they are doing a great job with miniscule resources compared to, say, portavadie.
just give them time chaps.
