Now I can press the red button legally

Post by Nick »

.
We got a DSC radio over seven years ago - before we bought the boat, in fact. I won it in a YBW competition (a proper Tom Cunliffe one mind, you, not a first out of the hat jobbie).

Today I finally did my DSC upgrade, so at last I can press the red button without risking a hefty fine or 2 year s imprisonment. Phew!

This would be the same Tom Cunliffe we caught at Princessa in a smaller boat during the RTI Race, and then overtook on the upwind leg?

Was it a "going slowly in a boat" competition?

Here's one that isn't Silkie...

(sorry about the size of it - tried it smaller but you couldn't read the boat name, which was the point really!)

I know it isn't visibly named on the boat, but check out the picture properties for the boat's name.
