I think they are all busy with spring tasks - Admiral.

Except Ash and Aquaplane who are talking on the 'phone about tasks - hence I can get on the 'puter whilst Aquaplane is distracted.

Hi nick

I use the mailasail clunky thing cos it is linked up with google earth - i send it a lat long anywhere in the post and it pinmarks where we are. Admittedly, the whol blimmin north atlantic is gradually getting pinmarked but it means folks at home can see how we're doing etc.

Hi Matt, nothing wrong with Mailasail. I was supposed to get together with the guy who runs it nearly a year ago to revamp it so it looks smoother and less clunky, but to my shame and regret I have been too busy doing websites for holiday cottages and various other non-sailing businesses to try to keep physically and metaphorically afloat. I am embarrassed to get back to him after such a long delay.

I dunno if Wordpress has a Google Earth plug-in, but I wouldn't be surprised.

plug-in eh, jargonmeister.

I need to be able to send an email from the satphone and it pops up in date seq on the site. And a latlong should put a pin googl earth link. Later, on wifi by logging in, i need to be ableto edit the text, and that latlong as well. Wot's this wordpres thing? Does it look nice?

Wordpress has had posting by email for a long time now.

There is a plug-in called WP Geo allows you to show locations on a Google map, but I think you have to be logged in to the site via a browser to post it.

I don't have any plans to complete with Mailasail or Saiolblogs at the moment though.
