Albin Vega on Ebay - ending tomorrow morning.

We have a decent credit limit on the card backing our Paypal and I am sorely tempted - but then there is prudence. Anyone fancy going halvers, we might make a bob or two. Or, if anyone is thinking of a Vega this could be it. Kathy and I will do you a cheap and efficient delivery. PM me urgently if interested.

Well, are you a 2 boat family now? See it's gone for £6500 Plus £500 for berthing fees. Maybe not as much of a bargain as when you first posted but If everything is as it should be not a bad buy.

Sadly no. We couldn't have gone quite that high at the moment, I seem to have become more risk-averse in my old age. It could have almost certainly been a quick two grand profit though - unless there is something major wrong the boat is worth 10k even in today's depressed market, so a quick sale for 9k should have been easy.

It's a pity. One of our dreams is to get a second boat and base it in the Canaries, perhaps with another couple or a pair of couples, and use it as a cheap mobile holiday apartment for Winter escapes. Another Vega would be ideal in many ways - reasonable accommodation, cheap berthing and good for a bit of island hopping or up to Madeira / Azores as required. Split three ways this boat could have been purchased and delivered to the Canaries for three grand each.

Still, plenty more cheap seaworthy smaller boats will be coming up over the next year or so.
