What goes woof woof?

Post by Alcyone »

To me it's a dog.

I've a few friends from your neck of the woods that I've heard referring to said animal as a 'dug' over the years, and I'm learned to adjust, taking it in my stride.

Sailing with a Scottish lady for the last couple of weeks, however has confused me. She was adamant that it is a 'deg'. No doubt. Not a dog, or even a dug, but a deg.

Can this be right?

Huh! Dundonians. Did she say 'peh' by any chance in relation to a meat stew baked with a pastry crust?

Dundonians, eh? Those shapeshifters with green skin, off Dr Who? Who'd have thunk it, eh? Told me she was from Forfar.

If not from The Kingdom, could she be very west end? (Glasgow - not Embra)
They sometimes walk the deg at the same time as taking the sex of rubbish to the midden.
