Jaundice on the mend?

Post by sahona »

Are you chaps in the officers mess havin' a laugh?
Last night I retired to bed suitably lubricated, a newly-promoted Admiral of the yellow, having scoured the servers for a suitable avatar. (I couldn't find any of the Simpsons in uniform, and forgot about the Nipponese navy.)
This morning I find my liver has been repaired overnight, and I am now an admiral of the white, admittedly more appropriate for one of such pure thought, but I need to know if this colour thing is going to be an ongoing problem.
No prejudice you understand, just a need for stability and order in life.
I do hope it's nothing to do with the hue of guano....

Could be Jim, but we can't hide anything up here as G2000 streaks down yer face in our incessant rain.
When your promotion comes through I assume it'll be pink to go with the bike and one-piece!

Ah, well, y'see..

Yellow Admiral is the default for 1000 posts and is automatically assigned while the other admirals are special ranks which are assigned when a mod notices that you've reached the magic number. Assigning white to you (not neccessarily in recognition of your great age) uses up the last of the pre-prepared specials and unless something particular springs to mind, like Claymore's green, future admirals will all be yellow. I suppose we could do vice and rear but it might get a bit complicated.
