As there is currently a £15 return offer on the train myself and garredfox might consider coming down if we had a doss for the night.
On the other hand, you could stay chez nous, but that means trying out the new Nickmobile to get here, and then getting a train up to Glaschu. But, it could be pleasant evening, what with Mme S being away that weekend....

I hope that you guys can make it down.

We, of course, are still indebted since our exclusive use of Fairwinds one night back in August 2004 ( Was it that long ago? - I had to look at the photo details ) and we would have gladly put you both up but we already have extra crew, as

and don't have sufficient bunks left.

I see the offer from Shard, but I've never worked out the location of his home berth, so don't know if it's a goer.

If things get very desperate then we have a single bunk and a couch left, but I'm sure that a better offer will pop up soon.

You'ld be very welcome to bide with us, but it would mean a train trip to Falkirk. (Getting return tickets from Oban to Falkirk is another possibility, but I think from memory that Scotrail's auld annoying people deal doesn't allow break of journey.)

.
There is now a conflict it seems . . . a very old friend is having their 60th party that night, and I think that is going to have to take priority . . .

2010 has been a right PITA so far.

Unfortunately, the family have plans that deprive me of my transport tomorrow, so I will have to miss out. I hope you all have a good night.

Sorry to hear that Ken.

I've just been checking my train times and arrive from Largs at 18.34 so I'll probably be first there.

I hope it's not going to be a solitary evening.

I thought that you were always first there

It won't be a solitary evening because I will be there with three gorgeous ladies, and my newly-wed brother and his wife.
