isn't the view fantastic?
I was led to believe it's because the air is clear instead of carrying industrial particles from Birmingham and Manchester, but nobody makes anything any more, so what is the real answer?

Maybe colder air not containing as much moisture. also not coming in from the sea means less moisture. I was working on the boat today and it was a beautiful sunset over Arran.

Fantastic day, today, Monday. We motored down from the mooring to Loch Creran for lift out today. Hardly a breath of wind so no sailing, but sunshine and clear blue skies all day, with fresh snow on the Glencoe hills and Ben Cruachan. Beautiful.
Bit of a change from Sunday on Loch Linnhe, when it was blowing hard from the NE with nasty short steep waves and Shard pitching quite violently on the mooring. We gave it a miss and spent Sunday night with friends in Ballachulish.
