The Simple Sailor on FurledSails

.
Amazing. I'm listening to Marvin Creamer, who sailed round the world with no instrumentation, not even a watch. (1982 - 1984). I had never heard of him. There's a website about him and his voyage HERE.
I have just listened to him talk about 90mph winds. My observation is that all the skippers I have met who have been in winds over F9 had one thing in common - no wind instrument on the boat!

i read his book recently - very interesting, and thought provoking esp for those who hold the commonly held view that in boating matters, bigger is better. He has some stuff on the corribbee owners website also worth reading.
