Note down the date of that tetanus jab

Post by sahona »

Had another visit to A&E this morning after an altercation with a box of broken glass .
"When did you last have a tet jab?" the nice lady asked.
Looked at my hands, and can remember when and where most of the scars occured, but not if I got jabbed at the time.
They've got the computers and stuff, why can't they tell me?
Decided to decline today's offer - get one next time.

That's odd, 'cos after my altercation with a rusty Stanley knife a couple of years ago, the nice young nurse (James I think his name was) said not to bother about Tetanus. If I'd had a jab since leaving school - all would be well. Now, the belt was still popular when i was at school, but this didn't phase him.

And, well, yes I'm still here (obviously) to tell the tale.

Interesting. Maybe they just wanted to inflict more pain.
Anyway, there is a bonus as I can't wash dishes for a while.

NHS, computers and stuff...... I've got to laugh. My wife is a physio and does home visits for those not able to attend hospital ,mostly old gereatric types sticking of piss (you're not there yet Bill) She has to attend the hospital each moring to pick up her day's visits . All patients records are still written on paper cards. Her time sheets are still done on paper and handed to her boss to sign.
Maybe one day they'll move into the 21st century but untill then you'll just have to bend over and take it like a man.

A huge waster of money is the civil service (NHS included) We were pumping mainframes (43xx) into the Scottish NHS before servers were heard of, and no-one ever got any work out of them.
Now my son tells me about perfectly good equipment being replaced in order to deplete an unspent budget
