Isn't it disappointing

..when first time posters don't come back.

I don't mean this as any kind of criticism but there have been lots of instances where newcomers have asked a question and stimulated some great responses but not returned to let us know how they got on.

A recent example is MC's magnificent post in Kingtut's thread about introducing his family to the joys of sailing. I would have liked to hear what happened next or even what Kingtut was thinking about doing next.

As I said, no criticism intended in this particular instance and there are many other similar threads but just wondering what went wrong?

PS - I'm thinking of trying some of the banning options to see if I can reduce the spam onslaught. Any issues I should be aware of?
