Carbon
What's wrong with it? Why does everyone hate the stuff? Schoolkids are being taught its killing the planet etc etc ...
Without it we'd not have a boat, fer one.
I've got a lot of time fer Carbon; molecular weight 12; not too thin like hydrogen nor obese. In fact, a size 12 woman wud be my ideal ...

.
Bon (盆) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of one's ancestors. This suggests therefore that we should honour the memory of the cars our ancestors drove.

Re: Carbon
I honour the memory of the very first car I ever drove. Belonged to my Uncle, and he let me drive in round the farmyard where we lived. I was 11 at the time.
1936 Triumph Gloria !
My own first car was a 1953 Austin A40 Somerset - PNA564
Who can remember the reg number of your first car?

Strangely I don't remember my first car's plate although I do remember the registration number of my dad's first car LGB 533.

My dad's first car was a Hillman Minx Shooting Brake EVJ 918
My first was a Hillman Husky but I can't remember the number.
One thing I do remember is the first weekend I owned it - 4 of us headed off to
Ingliston car racing and went into Edinburgh afterwards. Halfway into town I came
upon the first traffic lights I'd ever seen as a driver and paniced because I couldn't
remember the light's sequence. I had been driving for almost a year and had never
encountered them. Seems strange now, where every village has at least one set of
lights.

Re: Carbon
Nuthin' wrong with carbon - stick a couple of oxygens - or worse - four hydrogens onto one and chuck it in the air... THEN you've got a problem.ParaHandy wrote:What's wrong with it? Why does everyone hate the stuff? Schoolkids are being taught its killing the planet etc etc ...
