The red Dufour, Lazy Bones seen moored off Inchmurrin is now based at Ardlui.

We keep promising ourselves that we'll try the Balloch based cruise in the river and through the narrows.

We've probably heard most of the commentary of the Tarbet based cruisers, but don't come across the Sweeney ones so often.

I didn't tell that part of the story, but the afternoon before the yacht dragged down on us, we initially anchored in our current favourite spot near the red buoy in the narrows. We had a coffee but I wasn't very happy as we were still in a stiff breeze then the Siver Marlin came N through the narrows. The skipper shouted his advice that we were anchored in the fairway which was a slight exaggeration but he probably wanted (neede) plenty of room to swing his stern downwind so that he could get round the buoy so finished my coffee and moved.

I'm still nervous going through the narrows but shouldn't be when you realise that this size of vessel makes it - wonder what draft she is? With the higher water level this summer I see 2M of water just S of the green buoy.
