Mylne Regatta

Post by Falkirkdan »

This week the Mylne Regatta is on based in Rothesay. The yachts are Scottish designed and mainly built in the Ardmaleish yard at Port Bannatyne. http://www.mylne.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I spent a pleasant Monday afternoon drifting about in the middle of the Clyde off Kip waiting for the fleet to arrive. The race was due to start at Rhu at 10.30 but due to the very very light winds the first yacht to reach me was I think Kelpie at about 14.30 and they were about to give up and put engine on as they were drifting back up stream. It was a lovely sight but spoiled by lack of wind. Never mind I managed to get a good bit of sun.

Nice to see yet more lovely classic yachts built on the Clyde.
