AFAIK he's been silent since getting a doing in Zakynthos at the end of January. Perhaps he's having to top up the kitty. Hope he hasn't been discouraged although I really can't consider that as a serious possibility.

Re: Huggy
I think his Bongo technique is pretty impressive - would certainly priovide a good backbeat for the Chents Cruise string ensemble.
Although his Hugginess suggests he is skint, the weight loss that normally comes with eking out meagre rations appears not to have kicked in just yet. Obviously only a matter of time.

Re: Huggy
As it happens, I paid and unscheduled visit to Huggydom only yesterday, my first ever. What a very pleasant town, nice old canal, and of course, the Pier!

Oh, and diesel sells at 60p per litre;

Like the price of the diesel works out st 74.4 lt on 60/40 split.
Anyone got prices for the Clyde. Believe Kip is about 101p on 60/40 and 6/8 weeks ago in Holy Loch paid 86p on 60/40 split.

I haven't bought any this year, but I don't expect that Ardlui will be cheap. At that price I'm just going to buy white at the garage. I buy in a 10 L container anyway and I don't see how a Beta can come to any harm - even if lower sulphur and 5% bio.Falkirkdan wrote: Believe Kip is about 101p on 60/40

There we all thought you were just a sailing man Gordon, then suppose the diesel could just be for ballast

Heating, of course. I was interrogated as I filled out the declaration about whether I really used deisel for heating because my solid fuel stove chimney had been spotted.
As it happens I do have an Eber DIL on board. It even worked once.

The man is an inspiration to us all. The point about his weight is well made though. What does Huggy eat? We've all seen his, er, expertise at fishing, he has no money and he has not eaten the dog. Watching all that lard wobble when the drums started though, makes me suspect, somehow, that he is not living off algae, scraped off his hull.
Good to see you back, Huggy. You make me want to go sailing when it's wet and horrible here in Wales. Which is often.

Re: Huggy
hi guys. ive been to malta, and i am now in tunisia. malta was ok magnificent harbour at valletta but i only went to see the blue lagoon, which was nice but more crowded than tescos carpark. so i left malta after just 3 days, a little dissapointed. my next destination was to be the island of pantelleria, south of sicily but i had 20/25 knots of wind on the nose and my engine packed in so i tried for 2 days to get there but wasnt making much headway. i then decided to goto tunisia, i then was becalmed for a day drifting in the wrong direction. in the meantime i was trying to fix my engine, it was a completly blocked cooling system in the engine block and cylinder head so i managed to take off my cylider head and unblock everything. it was calcification set like concreat. while doing this i blew waterpump diaphram and spare (sabb's) version of an impellor. i did have more spares but they were ones i had made and there not really right so i decided to use an electric waterpump that used to supply the tap in the bog, with the inlet in a cockpit drain and the outlet going to the cylinder block. this did the job so i started to make my way to tunisia again but the winds turnrd s/easterly with big waves and i didnt have any information on the harbours apart from 1 which looked safe to enter in s/easterly but wasnt a port of entry. anyway, i made it in had hours of fun with the police and customs, i got ripped off by 2 lads that the harboumaster got to give me a lift to the bank in a town that looked like the gaza strip.(they also managed to rob my fags) and after 1 night i managed to make a better repair to my engine i then had to leave for port hammemet. the bastards made me leave in rough weather the wind a waves coming onshore with an engine that i wasnt totaly confident in, just to have hours more fun with police and customs. so my advise to anyone thinking of going to tunisia is, dont bother! p.s. for those of you wondering how i manage to keep in such great shape. i had a pan of tatter ash in the blue lagoon and i am just tucking into a hotdog sausage thai red curry. cya guys.
