ISTR a folk song that featured the following lyric snippets:

That is all I can remember of it. Can anyone give me a clue?

All the Irish songs I know are on my 'Best of the Dubliners' album.

The filthy, salty sea and funny songs were picked up round the bar at Severn Sailing Club and several rugby clubs in my formative years. (That's when I learned the importance of respnsible drinking!)
A sing-song with actual instruments being played was a bit of a new experience for me...
