I don't suppose a 4hp long shaft is any good?

Do please let me know if you're offered a 2 stroke Yamaha 2.5hp Model 2b with the serial number 641 075205.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Uh oh, where was the scene of the crime? Was it from Shard itself (or perhaps I should say herself)

I should pointed out that it wasn't from the mooringGhillie wrote:Uh oh, where was the scene of the crime?

It was a couple of years ago; we'd wintered on the Clyde and were on our passage north when the prop shaft disconnected at Sanda. We had to go back under sail for a lift out and repairs. All done very quickly, but in the course of our haste neglected to remove the said Yamaha from its perch on the stern. Someone else did.
A wonderful work horse of an engine. We now have a four stroke Honda, which as these things go, seems to do the job; but heavy, and no quieter than the Yamaha. I'd be surprised if there was much difference in the emissions (most of us hardly ever use the damned things anyway).
I'm all for trying to cut carbon emissions but the EU Commissioners did demonstrate a misplaced sense of priorities with this one, imho.
