Bought a new battery for Silkie from Costco. Bosch marine/leisure batteries 75Ah for Â£35 and 110Ah for Â£56 inc VAT. Seems like a decent price?

Sounds very good. I bought a 75 Ahr leisure battery from Halfords last year - can't remember what I paid, but the current cost is Â£54.99 inc VAT.

I've never been to Costco, but those who have seem to swear by it.

I bought a Varta 500ah deep cycle, instant video replay, microwave friendly, machine washable one for Â£27.

would a 500Ah battery not put claymore ( and most other yachts ) right to the bottom ?
ask him how he managed to lift it without taking his hands out of his pockets

i got 110Ah battery from the caravan shop on gt western rd for Â£50 last month.

I got a 100Ah job from the new Clyde Chandlers at Ardrossan - same people as at Largs - for Â£45 on special offer recently. Shall I buy up all the stock for you all?

Yes, buy the lot. If you can retro-fit the instant video replay facility you should be able to make a tidy profit.

BTW this is definitely the last time I'll post anything on here so straightforward as a battery price.

It's hard to believe that this battery lasted 13 seasons but it did and I'm now in the market for a new one. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonable quality/price make and/or supplier? A 13 year guarantee is not a requirement nor is 500Ah.
