.
Down the yard just before nine and out on the mooring before ten. The engine started after two turns, there don't seem to be any leaks and we didn't break anything. Sails are on, most bits of string in place and we are ready to go. Tricolour and wind are working, radio check with Clyde CG was fine, starboard running light is out but heyho, if that's the worst then its a good start to the season.
Took the dog for a walk round the golf course afterwards, and it was great to see Fairwinds back on her mooring.

We are thinking of replacing it with 6mm Dyneema, as I understand these new burgees put a helluva strain on them. Luckily we have seventeen spares in case we lose one.
