I like these brooding ones. Reminds me of the pictures in a chapel vestry - rugged hills, overcast sky, the odd significant shaft of sunlight.

Planning the end of season musters already - and so our lives pass in a flash. Let's get in the water first!!

Various music festivals do provide a good excuse for a destination for the musically inclined or the thirsty trhoughout the season:

Gigha Music Festival (Homecoming Special)
Friday, June 26 - Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Hebridean Celtic Festival (Stornoway)
14th - 18th July
(Coincides with the Hebridean Festival of Sail)

Mull of Kintyre Music Festival (Cambelltown)
21st – 24th August 2008

Colonsay
Thurs 17 - Sun 20 Sept

Jura
Fri 25 to Sun 27 Sept

I am sure others can provide more to add to this list - post them here and I'll put together a complete calendar with web links which can then be easily updated every year.

This is always a good weekend: 2 - 5 July-

Plenty of good music, and the chance for a few "Refreshments" as well!

Aye but Tarbert is more accessible for non boaters though.
Anything in the Seil Mull Oban area;s in or around the 10-15th may?
Think I will have to rename myself to "SMOKIE AND THE BANDIT for a few days in may, "EH Nick"
