Anything the Crinan Canal can do ....

.... the Carron/Clyde Canal can do too. Got a phonecall to tell me that the cill of Lock 36 has broken and the ditch will be out of commission for about 4 weeks.
Pity as I was intending to transit next week.

The latest is 27th April for reopening - extended delay involves some story about dumper driver sans lifejacket ending up in the lock causing the elfin safety to take an interest.
