KP2: Paragliding round the world with a Jack Russell

Post by Nick »

.
Just had a phone call from a mad acquintance of my microlighting days, Eppo Harbrink Neumann. Eppo was the first person to fly the Atlantic in a flexwing microlight via Stornoway, Faroes, Iceland and Greenland in 1989 and 1990 (Story HERE)

Eppo's current dream, which he has been working on for the last ten years, is a round the world flight in a powered paraglider with his Jack Russell, Oppi. In the process he hopes to raise a lot of money for an animal charity (WPSA) and get a lot more signatures for a petition for a universal animal rights charter.

Eppo is 68 now and living on his Dutch state pension. He is looking for no strings attached donations to help him fulfil his mission. If you like barking mad individualists with peculiar missions, or if you are particularly keen on animal welfare, then you might want to take a look at his website - which he has spent a year working on! (Click the logo below).

My donation to my friend Eppo's mad project is my 2000th post - good luck Eppo and Oppi.
