cccccc09
So with Parahandy and meself berthless for cc09 (Claymore and Muzz having invited themselves elsewhere) have floated the idea of he and I sailing my vessel from Malin to Mull. He's yet to reply- cos I think he's away.
Failing that - due to the credit crunch - are swimmers allowed ashore at Bunessan or Colonsay?

If nothing else, I am pleased to hear that you will not be chartering this year having been disturbed, not to say shocked, to discover how much it had cost in 2008.
Perhaps it's time for a first attempt at a roll call if you and Para are feeling insecure although I can't see any difficulty fitting everyone in even without some poor sod having to berth on Silkie.
Where's the Cruise Director when you need him?
AFAIK, definite maybes so far are:
Avilion with DaveS + ?
Fairwinds with Nick + Garredfox + ?
Rosally with Puddock + Mrs P + ?
Shard with Shard and Mme S + ?
Silkie with Silkie + ?
Mojomo???
Claymore and Steve have berths you say? Other likely regulars ljs, para, hazard + ?
Any other boats or crew? Speak up now.

Ooh that should get things going.
Semi-serious about bringing ma tub over if there were enough takers though that would depend on weather.
Otherwise open to offers. Chartering fine if er tcm is paying...

Oops, forgot to mention jim.r as a likely regular though he has been conspicuous by his absence from these discussions so far this year.
This could be your opporchancity to sail on Silkie, jim.

Fine craft Silkie. Very capacious, certainly big enough for 3 idiots on a weekend. Fine Skipper and Host. I speak from experience.
The Galley, full facilities and all mod cons

The heads and showers have panoramic views

The huge forecabin with extensive storage

And the Aft State cabin, with a very airy feel.

And finally the capacious lounge, with the Snug Bar shown here

.
Waiting for word from Hazard to Shipping as to whether she is coming along this year . . . if not then we will have a berth (or maybe two) for the berthless.

I've never had the pleasure of meeting these people.
HtS' absence liberating two bunks?
Now you're scuppered Nick.
So am I probably, come to think of it...

We are still unsure whether we'll have a spare berth. Will keep you posted as soon as we know.

Rosally has a spare double cabin & upto 3 berths in the saloon (or living room as Mrs Puddock would say).
Sail at your own risk, as we are newbies - in fact, i shall relinquish my command for the weekend to a suitably experienced volunteer. Rosally will be going back in the water in March, so she will have had a shakedown before the cruise.

A change of plan means that BBH will be berthed in Craobh this year, therefore we are at this point definitely a maybe with the possibility of a spare berth or two for those who are prepared to fight our Cairn and Westie for the space.Silkie wrote:If nothing else, I am pleased to hear that you will not be chartering this year having been disturbed, not to say shocked, to discover how much it had cost in 2008.
