I have a DV20 for sale.
It was running about 5 years ago when I brought the boat back from the Canaries, in fact, as my forestay broke the engine drove us most of the way home.
Since then the engine has not been fired up so please treat it as a non runner for spares or needing a rebuild.
I guarantee that it was running when I last used the boat ( she is undergoing a massive refit at the moment and I have a new Beta which is half the weight which means I won't need 150Kg of balast in the front any more!! )
It is in well used condition with some external rust.
It also has a martec fresh water cooling system.
The exhaust elbow has been replaced ( always a weak point ) with a fabricated stainless steel item.
I have some spares ie, filters ( oil and fuel ), parts to change back to raw water cooling, user manual, pot of engine paint etc.
I cruised to the Canaries and lived on my boat for 2 years and the engine let me down only once when I ran the fuel tank low and sludged up the filter. Other than this it was 100% reliable.
Only bad parts I know of are:
Rust.
Rusty flywheel ( would look good if removed, blasted and sprayed )
missing alternator, was stored somewhere but the sock monster must have swiped it!
I think there is a small oil leak from the main shaft behind the flywheel as there is a little bit of oil visible here, but this should be an easy job if the flywheel is coming off.
Again, please treat as a non runner as I don't want to be responsible for any disappointment, however I have been as honest as I can with the description.
Offers are welcome. No idea what its worth for parts, advice would be welcome.
It will be going on boats and outboards as soon as I can get to the coast to take some snaps.
Thanks
Nick
