How can it be that what was previously over 40MB is now only 10MB. Am I doing something wrong? Selected all the tables and used File type: text and Action: download.

No, I suspect it is correct.
The new database structure is much more efficient, plus all the modifications I had inserted which had created extra tables over the years are now gone.

There's some good stuff in the admin and mod areas. I'm just itching to issue a warning.
