So - feeling the pinch a tad and off to the Boat Show next weekend. I can afford one of these but not both.
Do I come home with a Raytheon Autopilot system or tek-dek.

Only one answer really but just seem to need the reassurance of my dear friends here - and Nick.

Definatly the first one, if you want teak deck I can put in touch with someone who will do real teak better and cheaper than tek deck.

Teak decks are like babies - attention-seekers.
Not impressed with anything looking like teak which isn't, so far.

Some years ago I carried through London transport a modest teak artifact from a boat show ("if youse dinnae sell it tae masel', ye'll huv tae haul it hame yersel" clinched the purchase) and efter ma wallet hud a hammering wi' buying the booze, Paddington Station came roond orra too fast but ah hud hersel tae thank fer not remaining, ivver since, circulating aroond the Circle line to thush day.

Ma'sel, ahd jist haund yer wallet over tae ra wee jimi who'll look efter it. Ahm only disappointed that ah'll no be aroond tae see youse struggling with the auto-pilot which ahm convinced is the wiser purchase (you could sell tickets easier tae a misericord than sit on yon seat whilst steering yer auld tub) as masel and hersel will be awa in warmer climes whilst youse lot are freezing yer bollocks aff.

Well, I like the feel and grip of the Tek Dek.
Autopilot has waited this long, perhaps can wait a little longer.
