Health advice when visiting New Zealand

Post by Sam_steele »

This time last year we were in sunny New Zealand and looking forward to a days sailing to Great Calvi Island. We were in a shop chatting to a local and saying that we were looking forward to our days sailing. She looked absolutely horrified and as did her large bear like husband. We were about to do a runner in fear of our lives - I did think this was the land of sails. When a welsh lady who had lived down under for 10 years burst out laughing. She explained that they hadn't understood our accent - and thought we were going sealing. So be warned.... :D

Happy New Year to all

I'll pass this on to my Brother-in-law who is in NZ just now, and hopes to do a bit of sailing while he is out there!

Just don't suggest a bit of wheeling and dealing ;-)
