A fair swap perhaps?

Post by FullCircle »

Her Ladyship and I would like to offer a swap week with Full Circle next year.

If you don't know by now what a Full Circle is, you probably won't meet the qualifying criteria.
We are happy to do a Friday evening to following Sunday 9 days, local cruising from the Clyde or West Coast proably aiming at 20 ish miles a day, and none of hat F8 malarkey.

We are used to new boats as well as old boats, and provided everything works after a fashion we will be happy. We are looking for anything from 22-40 foot that has a decent loo, cooker and heating. Not at all interested in relative values of boats.

Sensible insurance arrangements and no fees. On our heads be it. My boat is well found and placed on the East Coast. Comes with all charts and almanacs, and a suggested itinerary maybe.

Quite happy if 4 want to get together, or a couple but 1 Skipper please. Needs someone who isn't terrified of letting me know if you have broken something, and can work it out between us.

Lets see if that brings any replies.....

Happy Xmas

Sounds Excellent - could you get your boat to the Clyde?

.
Your insistence on heating excludes Fairwinds from this deal I am afraid. SWMBO has asked me to inform you that you are a wuss . . .

It's a great idea though, and it would be nice to see more people organising boat swaps this way.

It is a good idea but your list of outrageous demands makes me think you're not really serious. :)

What a place!

We have entered into a little exchange with one of the good folk round here, which I hope will work out.. Strangely, the other party needs talking into taking out Full Circle, but we will beat him into it, no doubt.

If of course he doesn't take up the reciprocal end, then Full Circle will be available for use that week to suitable applicants or syndicates.

I am a wuss, I am a wuss, I am a wuss.

I'm afraid that Rowana doesn't meet the criteria you specify. She's 26 feet long, so that's ok. The loo works, so that's also ok. The cooker is new last season, but it's only 2 burners and a grill. I do however have a small microwave that I use when connected to the electrickery. Same goes for the heating.

I doubt if you'd fancy swapping one bit of the east coast for another anyway.

Good luck with your quest

Merry Ticklemas!
