First 18 a wonderful ship
This summer found me living aboard a First 18.
Dave had liked my boat which i agreed to sell as i wasent happy with it,for the time i moved aboard his First 18 which was now for sale(and sold)
At first i found the space limited the strorage in need.As time went on i really did like this pocket cruiser. She was quick had no bad habits weathered a force 4/5 with ease.
The cockpit was roomy & comfortable the cabin airey light dry & comfortable as i laid there reading the rain pounding down outside.
Shes very fast and for the med ideal i could get from Setè to Toulon in half a day!!She comes with a trailor which make crusing a pleasure for example i could tow her to Turkey by passing the Ionian! And cruise in comfort.
Even the smallest crane can lift her on & off mostly cost free or just 10€.She looks wonderful afloat a good shape, she can sail up to the beach and lay beside fishing boats using their winch or she can use free or almost free places in Italy specificaly for small boats.
I sailed her to my home port i dident go into the port but the bay behind i pulled her up onto the beach made her comfortable then walked into town safe very pleasent & free!!
As a long term holiday “livaboardâ€Â
