Reading Superstrath's recent posting about his drive leg had me wondering what he sailed. His profile gave no clues. Maybe he has a Yot Blog? Whizzed down through the index till I was dizzy, didn't find anything, maybe there isn't one.
Silkie obviously provides a link to his Yot Blog in his signature, but in general, I just wondered how easy it would be to add another line in the Forum User Profile.
Just in case the WebMaster discovers a clock with 26 hours in a day !!
Prout Snowgoose 37. It's a lovely boat, and was privileged to sail on it last December. Was sorry to read about the prop leg - must be a right scunner, particularly as he's been doing a fair bit of work on her. Superstrath re-rigged her over the winter. She points well and goes like the proverbial off a shovel.
Thought she might be a cat. Yes, I would imagine that she is fast - multihulls are in a different league - non of this lugging tonnes of lead/cast iron around. Just read Race Against Time by EllenMacarthur, and boat speed relative to wind speed seem incredible to a 27' monohull owner.
That would work. What I meant was - for instance, if I read a posting by you, I could find out more about you/your boat by following your link to your blog. Not the case with most posters.

I put together some rubbish last year. I'm tempted to start a new one this year, but the standards set by yourself and others are pretty high. My access used to be through the Public Library, which was pretty limiting but I now have laptop and broadband at home. I may write up my log in Word for a while before deciding to commit to a blog.
This is my link ( I can't remember how to hide the URL behind a word like you do ! )
Ash and Silkie are slightly more common terms than Superstrath.
I keep meaning to ask Nick how to improve the searchability of my blog but he's such a busy man these days I don't like to trouble him. I'd like it to do better on a search for "Hurley 22" which is one I use myself from time to time (to see what's new) and which mostly brings up boats for sale, links to pictures of Liz Hurley and a paper on zinc deficiency in rats.
I enjoyed your piece about Loch Lomond but I'd thought it was a one-off and had missed the My Rig entry. Sailing in company or on other boats of the same type is always educational.
You should keep the blog going. I just write about (most of) what happens and try to keep it honest (since this is what I like to read from others) without worrying about it's literary merits. If I was to compare my blog entry with tcm's CC write-up I'd never touch the keyboard again.
