An Introduction

Good Morning
Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Lieutenant Rene Tremblaire, late of the French Navy and now retired.
I notice that one or two of the friends with whom I have communicated in the past are gathered here.
My good friend Monsieur Parahandy has been keeping me informed regarding the contretemps which has took place in the Scuttlebutts and of how my former foredeck hand, Monsieur Claymore is offenced. I believe he is to be found here although he and I have not spoken for some time now.
Monsieur Parahandy and I have spent some pleasant times together this summer - he suffered from a delay of the flights but he was of an easy persuasion to spend time with my friends and I as we sat by the harbour and talked of the old days. Although he is some years younger than I, his company is good and I find him be a man of sophistication. It is my believe that much of this is because of his lovely wife who is enchanting. Also his young friend Monsieur Jimi - he reminds me very much of myself some 50 years gone - although not so good with the pastis!
Well - I just made my introductions and await your responses

A haw hee haw René, c'est vraoiment tres agreable sur la baroque Surcouf sans cullottes avec les cloches du mer. Mon pauvre tete , il est en pain parce que le Whisky de la bateau tres agée et manqué. Les livres sur mes pieds sont tres mal avec les oiseaux de la terre! Inserez votre vieux bateau de diable dans votre cul-- petite espece de rat chauve avec la visage du lapin...

Bonjour Monsieur Jimi
I am pleased that you have returned to your former spirits - Both Michelle et Candice were most concerned for you on that morning. I feel they held me responsible for your condition, mais bien sur - you are a man who follows his own plough - it was not I.

Did your belle femme appreciate the trophy which you obtained for her - I have to tell you, when it was discovered missing from the Hotel du Ville there was quite a commotion. Again Tremblaire was under the suspicions for a time but fortunately for I, a vagrant had been seen in the district on the previouses day and I think he is now the main one for suspicions.

I hope our conversations of your beloved GlenRosa have been remembered - take the advices from an old man my young friend, wifes may come and go, but a yacht is for the lifetime. Thank you for your kind enquiries of my beloved barque, Surcouf. She lies against the harbour wals and I was drinking my pastis aboard her last evening avec Guillaume et Francois - he is the big guy with the one eye missing - he likes to blame les Boches and we allow him to continue with this myth - of course we know it was nothing of the sort but it is good for drink from Les Touristes.
