crinan canal closed!

Post by tom26 »

bad news for some people, saw it on TOP (as I believe it is called, I do not know if my use of this is right but hey ho!)

this is really bad timing/luck - some one's planned holiday is going to be affected, an unexpected challenging sail round the Mull for some!

Well
If the weather with you is anything like this in the land of the Pastries it'll be a pleasant Nor'Easterly down to the toon of the Campbells then around and on up tae Gigha
I love the wee granddaughter to distraction - but I'd give a fair bit to be there just now!
Regards

Won't do a lot for all the Clydesider coming for West Island week
We can't change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails.

Crinan Canal

Post by DaveS »

In some ways it simplifies things. From previous discussion many (myself included) query the vale of the Crinan given (a) the cost, (b) the damage from rough sides, and (c) the difficulty - near impossibility - of single handing. That said, the Crinan has a certain appeal.

Hope they get the problem sorted soon.
