I'm no expert but I believe that you can't upload pics.

The way to do it is to host the pics somewhere like photobucket, and then link to them and the site drags the pic from there to display it.

Thanks for that, but being a bit of a computer dunce I still don't seem to be able to put a picture in your message box. I downloaded photo bucket and tried to drag from it but it just jumped back.

I've only recently opened a photobucket account myself and am still not familiar with the workings of that. I don't know how to specify the size of a pic for instance.

Once you know where the pic is, it's easy to link to it from here using that IMG box up there above this bit on this page, you realise I'm in the post reply screen!

I'm going to shut up now before I show the full extent of my ignorance.

After uploading your pic to photobucket you will see 4 boxes under the thumbnail. If you click on the one labelled IMG code, PB will copy the neccessary code on to your clipboard. Then just use Ctrl+V to paste this directly into the text of your post.

To re-size while uploading to PB there is a line above the 3 Browse boxes which reads "max image size: blah blah (options)" and if you click on options you will be able to select from various formats. I believe you can also re-size after upload using the edit function but I've never done this and can't test it while I'm at work.
