Why not submit one yourself?

The judging panel still await the Broderie Anglaise entry before making their final decision.

The Broderie Anglaise is to be LadyS's contribution. Your design may or may not include a thistle, as you please.

I have purchased the necessary raw materials for my entry off Preston Market this afternoon. I have also taken time out of my busy schedule of rope laundering this weekend to attend to the challenge.

So much classier to be making one rather than just messing about with free software. You should definitely win for that alone.

We await the result with bated breath..

(Following a senior moment I had to check my spelling and found here that I was correct. Isn't the web wonderful?)

Sally, having swallowed cheese,
Directs down holes the scented breeze,
Enticing thus with baited breath
Nice mice to an untimely death.

I eventually got round to it. I'm more engineer than artist I'm afraid. The blue should be saltire blue.

I not sure that we can have a through printed burgee that reads the same both ways - unless Nick changes the name from Blue Moment.

If it isn't too cheeky to steal the lighthouse from whoever (is it Irish or German, I can't remember) - A dark blue burgee with a lighthouse, (possibly black/white stripes?) showing a series of beams (flashes)(red green or white) like the spokes of a wheel (preferably at an incline -oval) with one of the flashes saltire-blue (the biggest one, nearest the viewer). This could be through-printed with no loss of sense, and gives us our 'blue moment' in a series of red or whatever. No lettering required.
Then, if people ask, you get a chance to mention the forum.
I'm no use with these computer drawing things but could scan one if the above is incomprehensible.

I just thought of the morse bit later. Apologies for the colour, it'll probably look better with a real dark blue, bright green/red/white etc.

Very clever.

In fact, it's nearly as good as mine :) and more burgee-like if probably more expensive to make.

Admiral Silkie, sir. We'd all have to be commodes to fly your swallow-tail.
Just realised mine has too many colours, so make the morse flashes all the same colour apart from 'the blue moment'.
As for the prize, no need to fret over postage,I'll collect it in the T&T when we get round Mulligan's Tyre in a week or two.
