About 15 new yellow visitor moorings are in place on the south side of Oban Bay. Very handy, though it's a long stroll to Tesco's. They have no indication of paying, or of max weight. They don't have any pickup either, just a big shackle on top of the buoy.

Oban moorings
We picked one up for a night the other week - they look pretty substantial - though can't comment on the block.
Chap came round and left a card asking for £12 a night (we were ashore) - so I still need to post this to him when I get near a post box
