Stream of consciousness

Post by Chris_E »

well it all started with me saying I was going to norway in a fortnight and I mentioned that beer was £11/pint. so Jon nearly has a heart attack and Denice said that she'd been on a ferry going between Finland and Latvia and had never seen so many drunken Scandanavians but thought that she should have had a go at the careoke because noone would have noticed. I the mentioned that Blue Nun was £20+ a bottle and John said that he would have expected the Nun thrown in for that price. So I then related this tale to Daphne who said that Norway must be fun during the summer but a bit awful during the winter and she was looking for a job where she could combine the best of the seasons, so I related the story of a guy I'd met in the Florida Keys who worked in the Keys during the winter and Alsaka during the summer. Best of both worlds, shame that he looked a bit like an 80 year old version of Zee Zee Top.

Yes, it is a quiet day at the mill....

Well, I thought it made a change from debating the various mertis of Eng/Scot/Wales. Call it creative writing if you like. It was, a verbatim, well almost, account of a series of conversations at work and how one topic led onto another.

Are you atill underwater?
