Good morning,
Just wanted to point out a very nice satellite image this morning. Go to
http://www.sat24.com/frame.php?html=vie ... gb&sat=vis
Notice the shadow on the rear of the front as it moves through the Midlands and southern England. This indicates that the cloud is deep along the line of the front (possible CB), hence the forecast of a few rumbles of thunder as it passes through.
Also, some good example of heavy showers following across Wales and moving into Ireland too.
Thought you might like that one?
Simon

I think it is amazing just how quickly the clouds are moving over what is a very short time. I'm also amazed by the way the clouds behind the front are moving eastwards, but the main bank of cloud seems to have a northwards flow, and even northwest in the northwest of Scotland (if you get my meaning!)
I also like the swirl out in the North Sea, top right of the picture. Used to earn my living out there.
Great link Simon. Many thanks
