Re: "It'll never work" milestone

Is that why screwfix in Oban has run out of extension cords!

But seriously, he does great social media (instagram: @the.electric.lobster.fusherman) and worth following

Apparently he’s being lined up as a supplier to the LOTI when it reopens

Re: "It Will Never Work" - Converting a Licensed Creel Boat To Electric Propulsion

it can be watched on Amazon Prime (you need to pay for it), or directly from the website
https://itllneverwork.boats/thefilm
if you pay and watch from the website, the inventor of the boat and fisherman who is running it (Hans Unkles) gets more of the cash

WHYW Handicaps

This year, the West Highland Yachting Week (WHYW) committee introduced the YTC handicap system, ( https://rorcrating.com/ryaytc) rather than the historically used CYCA system ( http://www.cyca-online.org.uk/handicaps.asp) to the committee's credit, and as they said they would, they have now publishe...

"It is sad that the UK, and Scotland, has never captured the rise of the super yacht industry" I thought that Jim McColl had a plan for Fergusons to get involved in the super yacht building and refurbishment industry, and that a very old and dilapidated 25m Feadship was bought as part of t...

Apparently the boat arrived on Friday night/Sat morning and by 04:00 Saturday, the polis were there... Full forensic scene of crime suits worn so clearly, searching for something but not wanting to contaminate the scene On Saturday, low key presence from the polis, and the crew not allowed to leave ...

Re: Wanna buy a Marina?

good to see that the new owners have ambitions for the marina and pub not sure I'm fully supportive of a "yacht club" being created as the next evolution the LOTI. Running it as a really good pub with food that welcomes everyone will be a good start. If berth holders get a discount, then t...

Re: Wanna buy a Marina?

you'd expect that the owner will want to be able to lift his own boat at his own marina and put it into his own shed for maintenance, so maybe quite a lot of change coming. I also expect that the yard drainage and electrics will be upgraded and improved. That's been highlighted to him as a priority....
