Was tidying up "Shard", getting some of the small mountain of personal gear off her. Jeeze, we don't half accumulate stuff. She'll probably look quite tidy when we're done. The weather today was pretty grim with heavy rain, bit gusty and wet snow and slush on the Glen Ogle road.......

I'd offer to lend it to you, but it is on my e-book reader - one of the disadvantages of e-books. A good read though and I would recommend it. Quite interesting how it becomes clear that the doesn't want to do anything else in life except circle the globe time after time; it can obviously be addictive, and it was not the exploring new places and cultures aspects that he relished as he was hell bent on getting round without stopping. I wish I had the chance to find out for myself.

And on the non stop circumnav he fed himself for the last leg on teaspoons of rice flavoured with toothpaste. Not for me but I found it a great read and a cut above the usual accounts
