How amazing is it to have the T&T as my local ?

Met my good friends Ian Stephen and Christine Morrison from Stornoway there tonight and enjoyed a great craic (and a few sherberts) . . .

They are passing through on their way back from the Rathlin Sound Maritime Festival.

Was in for dinner last Saturday and was very pleased to hear that the pub, having been up for sale is in (what sounds to me) as good ownership. Pleased to find 2 very Fyne ales on tap too. Sounds like the new owners are not planning drastic changes which is very good news to us (as occasional visitors).

I have to admit that due to the poor weather forecast for the Sunday, I stopped over in Balvicar (very impressive boatyard), and by chance caught the last bus north to the TnT, return was by hitching a lift, which took no time at all. The plan had been to dinghy both ways, but the outboard had other ideas:-(
