Just heard on the BBC that there's been an explosion on a yacht in Puilladobhrain. Do we know any more?

Thank you Silkie - that's good to know I can stand down from being ready to rush up to help. I'll keep listing to BBC Radio Scotland this afternoon.

.
I understand it was dark and the guy spent the night on his exploded boat before eventually getting off in the morning.
People in the pub who saw him said he was pretty badly burned. No news of what caused the explosion. The boat was towed to Oban.

Thanks, guys. I hope the chap isn't too shaken up - having been on a burnt-out boat all night

I understand that it was a camping gaz stove (screw-on type). A misunderstanding about the properties of gas meant that the owner thought that the gas had been cleared by opening the companionway etc. He managed to get ashore despite his injuries using one oar and a washboard.
