A couple of things from a week ago.

Apologies for bringing this up rather late, but I noticed a couple of things a week past Friday while driving up to Craobh to see how the boat had survived the winter.

On the Erskine Bridge there was a temporary sign marked "Coastguard - Incident". On the east side of Loch Shira (Inveraray Bay) a yacht was on the rocks. I've seen no reference elsewhere to either of these. Anyone here know anything relevant?

I went and had a look with Ash last Saturday. There was some savage damage to the bow, 10mm stainless bolts bent and stem head fitting rived off. Also a hole in the foredeck where the cleat used to be. I suspect it came off one of the moorings south of Inveraray, there were a couple of boats there last season, a yat and a mobo.

Was it a red hulled Caravela 25 by any chance. There's one sitting on a barge in Ardrossan harbour. It's wrecked!

No she's a Windjammer 24 according to the graphics, named Wild Goose.

I have a couple of photos on my phone, but would need to upload them before I could post them.

On the front page of YBW there is a link to a very brief article about a 25ft yacht grounding off Troon last Saturday and being rescued.

Hope this works.

It must be a long time since I've posted pictures. I'd forgotten how much of a ringmaroll it is.

Thanks Pete, I had a look. Article says a "sinking yacht", from the pic I say it is well sunk and sitting on the bottom. Could be it. The one on the barge has no rigging or mast but is badly beat up.
