When coming through Sanda Sound with the tide and there is a force 5-6 on the nose make sure your forehatch is properly closed.

Been there, done that, though in my case it was a line caught in the forehatch. T'was during a SIPR a few years back and there was a lassie in her sleeping bag in the forepeak not only getting bounced around but getting absolutely soaked. All she had to do was tell us but she thought this was what boating was all about!

A big coincidence - a few years back we were sailing through there but had glorious sun, sea was flat calm but there was just enough breeze to fill the sails. Swmbo suggested to the occupant of the forecabin that it might be a good idea to shut his hatch as there were overfalls marked on the chart. Suggestion was ignored. Suddenly, out of nowhere came a rogue wave which broke over our bows and dumped copious amounts of water down the hatch. Much amusement for the whole crew -one
