Well maybe not warming exactly but I would like to take full credit for the absence of gales and torrential rain since Wednesday. Even the floods in Engerland are starting to recede. Yes, Marisca is out the water and, as forecast, the weather has immediately turned, high pressure has returned to hold the lows out in the Atlantic, the sun is shining (it is in Ed'burg anyway), gentle zephyrs flit playfully across the sea and I've got a house full of boat smelling cushions, sails and paraphernalia which I have to disguise somehow before my better half returns tomorrow. Does "Oust" really work?

If only I could turn this bloody snow off!

I'm 30 miles west, and the current local dreichness (such a word?) is heading your way, so don't put the sails on the line to dry too hastily!

Might be able to squeeze a few hours of sun out of tomorrow? I'm sick of being indoors!

'Spishing on God's side of the country at the moment although I must concede the roof tiles have stopped rattling at last.
Phek the phekkin' boat cushions - we keep ours in the loft in Winter and when I went up there to get the decorations, I noticed that some bast'd thing had started eating through to the foam - probably to make a nest. Just something else to add to the list before we get round to the proper list of lists.

Apart from the crab fats scaring the life out of me when they go screaming past in their jets. We are only trying to trouble shoot a leak on a gas well.

I have a good method for finding gas leaks.
We run a 2 bottle gas system on Contender.
When changing over, I turn on the valve, repressurise system, then hold a match under the union.

Lack of excitement means good connection.
Interesting little yellow flame means small leak
Roaring furnace of a smokey yellow flame = bigger leak.
The one I haven't had yet is "cockpit lockers blow off, eyebrows shorten dramatically, and night becomes day" = forgot to connect the nut at all!

What happens if their afterburner sets the rig alight? In the Beano recently, the opposite happened so it has to be possible.

We ain't got no gas leaks.. It was strange though, they made a hell of a racket but we couldn't see them..and it was a clear day.
