Snow

Depending where I'm typing from (which machine) the snow has variable effects.
The worst is on this machine I'm sat at now - a thin client - where each flake causes a jitter of every other bit of graphic on the screen horizontally to it, so that as it falls, a line of jitter and cluttery pixellated nonsense also falls.
Makes typing quite difficult.

I get some bad effect on 2 out of the 3 machines I most often use.

What browser are you using?

You could disable javascript . This would however disable some other (non-essential) forum functions like automatic insertion of BBcode frm the wee toolbar and instant smiley insertion.

If you are using Firefox there is an add-on that allows you to disable javascript on certain websites : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/yesscript/

In Chrome, you can block javascript for individual sites using exceptions in the security settings. See http://www.howtogeek.com/tips/how-to-block-javascript-and-ads-for-a-single-site-in-chrome/

Or you could just put up with it . . . .

Its IE8 that I have trouble with. But its running on a server and I'm using it from a laptop acting as a thin client.
Its not a problem at home where I use Firefox.

But being so hot these days, (did we get any snow?) is it not time to melt it off?
