Bluemoment Defunct?

Not a scorrach on here since Sunday. Is everyone busy or have you all gone elsewhere?
Clearly it is not abrasive enough for the proprietor who still appears to enjoy a regular airse-kicking on TOP with his daft perspectives on Salmond, Scottish Independance, Global Warming :shake: etc.

Lights blue touchpaper and retires.......

Thought it was quiet myself as I lurked in the shadows waiting for stimulation / inspiration.
Nothing to say now the boat is 'quille a terre'.

None of those poltroons on TOP have came within a mile of ma airse.

If you think otherwise then you are most certainly losing the plot my dear old cauliflower.

As for the quietness on this place - I simply provide a space, I'm not touting for business.

Talk among yourselves. Or don't.

It some form of whithdrawl symptoms I think - at least for me.

Probably did more seamiles, and spent more nights afloat than for a few years, even if broken into many shorter trips, and now having stripped the boats contents ready for lifting oot, I'm wandering about wondering what to do.
I'm getting together all the wee bits and pieces for the winter maintenace, and a few extras this year to comply with someones ideas on safety essentials (Scottish Islands Peak Race 2014 I hope).

Various marinas are starting to encourage wintering afloat. I think that has some merit. Christmas must be a lovely time to go out for a brisk sail?

Go for it Geoff! If you thought a wee round the cans jaunt was daft on Marisca, you will love the 3 days of SIPR, especially if you are running as well as sailing. I've just received the tickets for this year's prize-giving, dance and horror story rendition in November. It depends on the quantity of drink taken and the enthusiasm of the runners as to whether I can forget the last few years and sign up again.
Most important addition to your boat for SIPR? Oars!

No, a dork is a place where people from the Home Counties keep their yawts. You can also get dry dorks and floating dorks.

Am thinking of a 5 man crew, me being the only non-hillrunner. Have 2 hot shot hill runners lined up I think, and one a bit slower, (but a rugby player, so plenty stamina) and need one to match him.
The only running I'll be doing is when the wind is behind us.!
Some night sailing practice this summer has been useful. Get some funny looks arriving in marinas at daybreak though!
