Cowes comes north

Moved my boat from Gourock up to JWD today - only one yacht left off Ashton now. There on the beach between the 2 slips of the august sailing organisation of which I am a member was a deid coo! Interestingly its head seemed to have suffered most, possibly 'cos ears are marked, but its legs and body seemed in reasonably good fettle. I wonder whose problem it is - Phil the boatman's 'cos he gets all the dirty jobs; the receiver of wrecks; the Crown Estates; any ideas?

I've never herd of that before, a moooot point over recovery. Its a case of dead meat. Surprised it hasn't been fined for non-payment of harbour fees, or littering. Perhaps the authorities and local burghers have no beef over it.

Drove past there from Kip boat "show" on Saturday, and wondered who the last two boats were. All those empty moorings looking lonely... In fact its a sad time of year, all the boats disappearing.

You probably ought to get on the horn to the coastguard.
